Photography

From the beginnings of the medium to the present day, from abstract experimentation to press photos, from the large format to the tiny contact print: the Kunstpalast presents the various facets of photography. The foundation of the collection is the historical holdings of Galerie Kicken in Berlin. This basis is flanked by important works by Katharina Sieverding, Thomas Ruff and Anna and Bernhard Blume, among others, as well as younger international photographic positions. The Kunstpalast’s photographic collection also includes the Archive of Artistic Photography of the Rhineland Art Scene (Archiv künstlerischer Fotografie der rheinischen Kunstszene / AFORK).
