About the workRuined architecture rises from the barren landscape and tells the story of the past. Ursula Schulz-Dornburg came across these bus stops in the wastelands of Armenia during a journey through the country. The crumbling modernist forms are the evidence and legacy of a failed socialist utopia. Derelict, they appear to be in the middle of nowhere; a stillness reigns over these sites of transit. But sometimes there are people waiting in the photographs, which transforms the images and adds life to these places that have fallen out of time.
