About the workThe frothy glass of this vase by Fratelli Toso was introduced to the Venini glassworks by the sculptor Napoleone Martinuzzi around 1928. At the time, Venini had the glassworks’ latest production on display every week, but complained that competitors were using this for imitations. However, the vase is not a pure copy. Unlike Martinuzzi, who favoured the green typical of glass and was inspired by antique vessels, Toso Glassworks created its own imaginative and cheerful vessel here.
