About the workVenini’s products included not only vases and bowls, but also lighting fixtures and mirror frames. The glassworks, like many of its competitors in Murano, could look back on a centuries-old tradition. In the 18th century in particular, mirrors and chandeliers were more important than the production of vessels. An identical mirror made of “vetro pesante”, heavy glass, is listed in the “blue” company catalogue from the 1940s and dated 1937. A related, square mirror was exhibited in Venice in 1938.
