About the workThere is a certificate of authenticity for this vase with the date “1948=55”, although there are doubts about this. It was issued by Ada Ferro Zabot, the last owner of the glassworks since 1976. She was the sister of the glassmaker Luciano Ferro, who created a series of unique pieces together with the designer Anzolo Fuga from 1965 to 1968. Fuga did not provide a design, but developed the idea together with Ferro directly at the furnace. The vase probably belongs to this series, from which very similar vessels are known. However, it is also conceivable that Ferro created the vase independently after 1968.
