not on displayThis enigmatic black cube, whose function as a television set is concealed when switched off, was developed by the German-Italian designer Duo Richard Sapper and Marco Zanuso. From 1959, Sapper and Zanuso worked as advisers and creators for the Italian electronic company Brionvega, which, as a manufacturer of radios and televisions, established a distinctive design for its products. The "Black St 201" was the first portable television that was also intended as a decorative object. In 1970, the two received the prestigious Italian Compasso d'Oro design prize for their creation.
