About the workThe feathered pattern of the vase, a style that was popular around 1900, was considered backward-looking in the major art centres of Paris and Berlin in the 1920s. Murano had not yet caught up with modernity. The Toso brothers’ glassworks was founded in Murano in 1854 and remained active until 1979.
