About the workThe Swiss-Argentinean artist Vivian Suter exposes her abstract works to the influences of nature. She places the painted canvases to dry under the dense canopy of leaves in the jungle of Guatemala, where she has lived since 1982. Leaves and earth are deposited on them, leaving traces; Suter’s dogs run over the paintings as if there were no difference between her works and the forest floor. The artist does not paint nature but trusts that nature paints "with" her.
