Thomas Scheibitz’s art is characterised by the combination of illusory and abstract elements. He uses an extensive image archive with motifs from advertising, comics and photographs. His creative process begins with sketches, which he transfers into free forms, simplifying and thereby detaching them from their original meaning. The result is a realistic impression that still leaves room for interpretation.
