About the workThe wide yellow ribbons not only form a colour contrast to the carafe. They wrap heavily and somewhat crookedly around the glass, and their ends remain clearly recognisable. As a result, they emphasise the flawless shape of the vessel all the more. The graphic designer and illustrator Fulvio Bianconi may have taken up an artistic principle from Japan here, according to which perfection requires a disturbance in order to come into its own. This particularly successful carafe model was available in various versions from the Venini glassworks.
