About the workColourful, oblique shapes with castors, handles and metal struts characterise the series “Unfinished Furniture”. It plays with the idea of redesigning and reinterpreting a piece of furniture and opens up the possibility for users to personally customise the object, for example with magnetic applications. Alessandro Mendini, who designed this cabinet, created many concepts for the design collective Studio Alchimia. Founded in 1976, its prominent members included architects and designers such as Michele De Lucchi, Paola Navone and Ettore Sottsass.
