on display, room 029Sofa or bed? With the "Superonda", designed from two S-shapes, this question could be answered depending on the mood. This piece is one of the first projects by the Archizoom group of architects and designers, which was founded in Florence in 1966. Its members are regarded as the initiators of Italian "radical design", an anti-design movement. With ironic and provocative designs, they questioned traditional ideas of furniture shapes and their functionality. Archizoom disbanded in 1974, but its theories lived on with the designers of Alchimia and Memphis in the 1980s.
