(H x Ø)7,2 × 11,3 cm
About the workA tumbler was originally a cup without a flat base. When you drank from it, you had to empty it in one go. This type of cup was very common in the Frankish Empire in the sixth and seventh centuries AD. Like so many other vessels, these tumblers may have served several purposes; for example, they might have been hung in a ring as an oil lamp.
