Status
on displayPeacock feather motifs were particularly popular in the Art Nouveau movement, which drew inspiration from flora and fauna. They rarely appear in glass, partly due to the technical difficulties involved in it’s production. In addition to the objects designed by Ferdinand von Poschinger for the Spiegelhütte Buchenau, peacock feather motifs can also be found in the products of the Tiffany glassworks in the USA and Lötz-Witwe in Bohemia. Compared to other German manufacturers of the time, Poschinger was influenced by the French style of Émile Gallé or the Daum brothers and was therefore almost unique in Germany.
