About the workThe German-Swiss artist Ulrich Meister has noted something in felt-tip pen on a polystyrene panel and illustrated it with drawings; it reads like a diary entry. The written image provides an insight into Meister’s world of thought: a reflection on his role as an artist and the challenge of harmonising this with his personal life. The large format contrasts with the intimacy of the statements and the boundaries between art production and the private sphere become blurred. The unusual choice of materials, in turn, refers to everyday objects.
