About the work"Moulds for a Breather" is a video work that combines modern artificial intelligence (AI) with artistic expression. Hedda Roman, the artist name for the Düsseldorf-based duo Hedda Schattanik and Roman Szczesny, wrote poems which determine the commands for the AI. The artists’ renderings (images created from data), drawings and photographs are transformed into flowing animations by the AI. The technology is used as a creative partner to open up new artistic possibilities.
