About the workWhat does life in the big city look like? Paul Hutchinson captures everyday urban life, creating images that encapsulate the spirit of the time and urban experience. His images go beyond the purely documentary, blurring the line between staging and snapshot. Hutchinson's work sharpens the eye for the ubiquitous, as it tells of the aesthetics of the street, its culture and scene. Having been raised and socialised in Berlin, Hutchinson's view is not that of an outsider. He looks from the inside, sensitively and with great empathy for his surroundings.
