About the workThe seat of this stackable aluminium chair is composed of flat structures which combine to create a three-dimensional form. The industrial designer Konstantin Grcic developed the unusual yet concise shape using 3D models on the computer. Originally developed for public seating areas and outdoor spaces, the chair can now be found in offices and homes. Grcic's furniture and accessory designs are characterised by innovative combinations of materials and production techniques, leading to sustainable, often surprising results.
