About the workA pixelated, colourful texture unfolds along the dome. Pixels move in swirls, creating some kind of depth, bottlenecks, to finally disappear or flow forward in ways reminiscent of pressure waves or a storm. The Dutch artist is regarded as the inventor of glitch art, the art of technical malfunctions. In her works, she explores the fleetingness and transience of data and makes digital aging processes her material. In everyday life data, just like any other material, is subject to the hardware, software, and platforms through which it flows. These systems can leave indelible marks on it, altering or deforming its structure and content.
