Place of originBerlin
About the workThe two video images projected onto the ground depict a group of performers lying in a space bounded by the camera frame. Their bodies are nestled together and slide over each other. The attempt to achieve a peaceful togetherness is repeatedly undermined by the performers’ urge to assert themselves, to seize space and make room for themselves. The Berlin artist Yvon Chabrowski shifts between photography, performance and video in her works. Her main interest is in rendering social processes and mediatised events visible.
