20th Century
During this period, glass vases – such as those created by Maurice Marinot in the 1920s – became autonomous works of art. In the 1960s, the studio glass movement and free glass art, associated with names such as Erwin Eisch and Jutta Cuny, began to arrive on the scene. At the same time, glass design was developing in locations like the Leerdam glass factory in the Netherlands.
