Collection of Elector Palatinate

In 1695, the Elector Palatine Johann Wilhelm II and his wife Electress Anna Maria Luisa deʼ Medici founded a legendary collection of paintings and sculptures in Düsseldorf with works of Italian and Flemish origin. Parts of this collection are now in the museum holdings.
