Japanese Art

The focus is on works from the eighteenth to the twentieth century, including an extensive collection of “netsuke” (belt toggles) and “inrō” (lacquer boxes), which were traditional Japanese clothing accessories. Another focal point is the “ukiyo-e” (colour woodblock prints), whose themes range from landscapes to portraits.
