not on displayWith this torso, Düsseldorf sculptor Moritz Schreiner has chosen to depict the human body without limbs. The clear design emphasises the head and upper body of the female figure, reinforcing the impression of vitality and sensuality – characteristics that also distinguish his other works created in the 1920s for the "GeSoLei" exhibition. These include the relief "Die drei Künste" (The Three Arts) above the entrance to the Kunstpalast and the large "Planetengruppe" (Planetary Group) featuring Mars, Venus, Saturn and Jupiter at the entrance to what is now the Tonhalle concert hall, formerly the planetarium.
