About the workSymmetrical and organic forms characterise the craft objects and utensils of the metal artist Karl Raichle. What is unique about these two vessels is that they have a reddish patina on their exterior and geometric patterns have been worked into this coating. After a brief period at the Bauhaus in 1928/29, Raichle settled in Meersburg on Lake Constance. Although he was not a supporter of National Socialism, the authorities nevertheless approved of his simple, artisanal style, so he was able to work undisturbed between 1933 and 1945.
