not on displayThe typical rod shape for the hairdryer was developed as early as the 1920s. One of the first appliances in Germany was the "Edir", which was designed by Siemens factory designer Herbert Marlot in 1936 and manufactured until the 1960s. This version, which was also known as a hot-air shower, was particularly popular for travelling, as it could be stored in luggage to save space.
