About the workBetween 1907 and 1914, the architect and designer Peter Behrens developed the first modern corporate identity in Germany for the electrical company AEG, including a uniform typeface, product and marketing design concept. This kettle is an example of the possibilities afforded by industrially standardised design. The appliance came in three shapes and material types with different lids and handles that could be combined during production to yield more than 30 variations.
