not on displayIn 1965, the Italian electric company Brionvega commissioned the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni to create an innovative stereo system to replace the traditional phono furniture with a wooden body of the 1960s. With the "rr 126" music system, the Castiglioni brothers created a unit using a rollable steel console, which guaranteed a high playback quality thanks to its retractable speakers. Similar to the Braun stereo systems in Germany, this device also became a status symbol for style-conscious Italian consumers.
