About the workIn 2008, this animation was developed for the wall of a house in Tilburg that ran alongside a bicycle path as part of an art exhibition in public space. The shadows were intended to imitate the cyclists and pedestrians passing by. The grotesque scenes transform into an endless narrative. A graduate of the art academy, the Düsseldorf artist Markus Vater not only deals with the relationship between light and shadow in his film, but also alludes to the circle of life and death between creation and apocalypse.
