not on displayOnly the head of this originally almost life-size Hindu statue, which could have come from one of the Khmer temples in present-day Cambodia, has survived. Its appearance shows similarities with Buddha sculptures that were created at the same time, for example in the hairstyle and the shape of the ears. Hinduism spread in Southeast Asia from the Indian subcontinent in the 1st to 6th century AD. In contrast to Buddhism, it is no founder, nor is there the idea of a single all-encompassing God, which allows Hinduism to be linked to other beliefs.
