About the workOn 24 January 1970, Chris Reinecke attended a discussion at the Düsseldorf Theatre. Shortly after the exclusive opening of the new building, the panel debates the question of what the meaning of theatre is. Tearing down the boundary between artist and viewer is one of Chris Reinecke's main concerns. When her hopes of involving the audience were dashed, she spontaneously reached for the chewing gum in the pocket of her green trousers and turns the red carpet into her own stage, until she is carried off by security guards.
