About the workThis plate is probably a unique piece. The distribution of the brown streaks in the glass is echoed by the etched engraving in the shape of an octopus. The engraving is barely perceptible against the unsettled background and only becomes apparent when the angle of light changes. Two sea snails and a shell have been added as glass overlays.
