About the workThe shape, decoration and function of this jug are peculiar. The large glass bubble has been bent in the middle and turned in such a way that the two pouch-shaped compartments have merged into one vessel. The thread ornaments have been applied in great haste, as if with a dripping brush. They have remained in relief because they cooled rapidly. The decoration looks like handwriting. The threads are made of the same glass as the jug and stand out more clearly today than originally intended because of corrosion.
