About the workA clear form and the delicate colour effect created by the yellow overlay on blue glass: such restraint is not typical of the Venetian tradition, but rather of Scandinavian glass art. Since the late 1940s there have in fact been visits from the far north to the Muranese glassworks, which have left an impression on both sides. The bowl may have been informed by these encounters. The master glassmaker Archimede Seguso had produced his first works in 1938 and had mastered the entire spectrum of glass art of his time.
