About the workThis unconventional bowl belongs to a small group of unique pieces. The Toso brothers worked together with the ceramist, sculptor and painter Hans Stoltenberg Lerche in the 1910s, interrupted by World War I, seeking to connect with current trends in applied art. However, the project did not have a broad impact. The son of the Norwegian painter Vincent Stoltenberg Lerche was born in Düsseldorf and later lived mainly in Paris and Rome. Pietro Toso and six sons founded a glassworks in Murano in 1854, which remained active until 1979.
