About the workThe German artist Jochen Mühlenbrink (*1980) plays with our perception. In this series, he uses conventional mirrors as picture supports, treating them to create the impression of a surface covered in condensation. A seemingly finger-wiped area reveals the viewer’s own reflection, making them part of the artwork. Through masking and spraying, Mühlenbrink creates a deceptively realistic illusion that prompts us to question our own perception.
