About the workAccording to Chris Reinecke, it was forbidden to walk on the grass in Düsseldorf's Hofgarten in 1970. This park was completed in 1770 and established by Elector Karl Theodor "for the pleasure of Düsseldorf's inhabitants". As an activist, the artist thought about how the public space could be better utilised.
