on display, room 037The art collective MSCHF from Brooklyn is known for its artistic and humorous products that allude to political and pop-cultural themes. Just in time for New York Fashion Week in February 2023, the group launched its latest creation: the Big Red Boots. With their unusual shape and bright red colour, the boots are more reminiscent of a shoe from a comic strip than boots suitable for everyday wear. In fact, they are inspired by the shoes of the manga character Astro Boy. Campaigns with models and influencers made a high-fashion statement that immediately went viral on social media.
