About the workWith a web of fine lines, overlapping surfaces and curves, Gabriele Grosse creates the traces that ebb and flow leave in the sand. Natural laws and bodies form the thematic reference point for this tapestry. She reproduces the essence of the process, the movement of the water, through simplified structures. By abstracting forms and using different dimensions and colours constructively, the surface gains spatial depth.

Gabriele Grosse is one of the most important tapestry artists of the present day.
