About the workGerman artist Jan Voss, who has run the art bookshop Boekie Woekie in Amsterdam since 1986, has published more than 100 artist's books himself. This work "pairs of shoes" are part of an edition of six pieces, each showing the same motif with a different coloured background. Voss, who also goes by the name Young Voss, studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1966 to 1972. There he met visiting professor Dieter Roth, with whom he has enjoyed a long-standing friendship.
