About the workQuestioning and dismantling male supremacy in our society and culture industry – this aspect is essential to the work of Munich-born, Vienna-trained artist Sophia Süßmilch. The headless "Ham Cowboy", whose outline is reminiscent of a male genital, symbolises Süßmilch’s artistic mission. Her works express a humorous, deliberately politically incorrect approach that creates grotesque, provocative worlds and at the same time deals with current issues.
