About the workIn 1970, Chris Reinecke chose the theme of transport to advertise the shop window of "Büro Olympia". The fire mouse carries a burning box on ist back. It is used to symbolically test ways of transporting "tinder", i.e. revolutionary resistance, to the USA. For the burning map of America the artist drew inspiration from the western series "Bonanza", in which a map is set alight in the opening credits.
