About the workChris Reinecke created the figure of Minna Beuff as a personification of personal and societal ideals. Transcending borders – the German "Minna" is combined with a French-sounding surname – the busty woman with an hourglass figure and curly hair embodies the supposed model female. Chris Reinecke not only questions gender roles, but also generally scrutinises role distributions, for example in relation to child raising and clothing norms, and suggests alternatives with a wink.
