About the workSeveral people contributed to the production of this vase, all of which are related to the Wiener Werkstätte (Vienna Workshop) group of artists. The Viennese designer Fritzi Löw can be found in their archives as the designer of the vase shape. The vessel was made in the Johann Oertel glassworks in Haida, northern Bohemia. It was delicately painted with a quill by the painter Hilda Jesser. From 1916 to 1921, she was a member of the Wiener Werkstätte, an internationally successful Austrian association of artists who designed and sold handicrafts.
