About the workPaul Hance explores traditional artistic and craft skills around the world. For his series of glass paintings, including "Rasa 13", he has appropriated the traditional technique of lead glazing to create something new. The paintings were created in collaboration with the Lamberts glassworks in Waldsassen, Germany, which specialises in the handmade production of glass panes using the glassmaker’s pipe. The artist was born in Paris and grew up in California.
