About the workEveryday objects are the main characters in these experimental arrangements, which are as banal as they are surprising. The works of the "Handlungen" (Actions) series can be seen as a particular variation on Helmut Schweizer's interest in the laboratory motif. After the installations and happenings, the Düsseldorf-based artist soon added films and conceptual photo series to his body of work. Due to the serial character of the photographs, objects and actions that are usually overlooked in the daily routine are brought to the centre of attention.
