About the workNo one is looking directly at the camera. Heinrich Riebesehl probably kept his 35 mm camera with a wide-angle lens well hidden. Thanks to the cable shutter release, he was able to photograph his ever-changing subject largely unnoticed. The photographer from Lower Saxony documented people in the lift at the publishing house of the Neue Hannoversche Presse. The conceptual series reveals a cross-section of individuals from different social classes whose paths crossed in the building.
