on display, room 023 About the workThese small-format, intimate photographs from the Bauhaus – an art and design school founded in 1919 – depict scenes of leisure and friendship. Far removed from official documentation and artistic projects, these snapshots offer a glimpse into the everyday lives of the students – and, in this respect, are a true reflection of the school’s philosophy: they represent an educational approach in which life, learning and creativity were closely intertwined.
