About the workThe vase is a contemporary example of the interaction between Milanese design and Venetian craftsmanship. This tradition of teamwork in Murano dates back to the 19th century, perhaps even further. The painter Michela Cattai, who trained in Venice, founded a gallery for art and design in Milan in 1992. She is continuously focussing on Venetian glass art and also works as a curator and designer for Venini.
