on display, room G13 About the workAn intruder threatened Jan Fišar with a knife one night in his remote home in the Czech Republic. The artist offered him liquor and they drank until dawn. The danger he endured had a lasting effect and kept Fišar away from art for a long time, until he finally worked through it in this sculpture. Still visible at the top of this piece is a constricted area where the glass was attached to the furnace in order to shape the body using heat and gravity.
